Q1-10: Becki, Nicole, Olivia, Fern
Friday, 5 March 2010
The opening shot of face-off is of a merry-go round, which portrays the feeling of happiness and represents children. The music is a high pitched piano and string melody, which is often used to make a scene eerie. The mood changes when you see the man uncover the gun where there is also a change in music. The colour in the opening scene is quite faint, which represents the dull mood that eventually takes over. By shooting some of the opening through the gun sight gives the audience an idea of what is going to happen and definitely an aspect of danger, creating a thriller.
